We come face to face with former patrolman Don Taylor in episode 5.

Taylor’s exploits were often in the newspaper as one of the top ranked table tennis players in town. He would also appear for his good deeds.

We again also talk with Gary Gosch – one of the fastest runners in Bedford in the early 1980’s.

Gosch did write about Captain Purple in 1984.

The captain did not run in the race.
